These pictures aren't what you would expect in the cube of a twenty-something stuck in the corporate world. Whenever one of my coworkers comes by, they never seem to get it. "Who are all of these random people? Does this have a meaning?"
For me, these photos are not just a dose of my daily inspiration; they remind me of their source and how I aspire to be like these women and what they represent. Each of these photos comes from the aesthetically pleasing Darling Magazine.
Darling is a quarterly magazine that acts as a collection of stories, poems, breathtaking photography and other tidbits that can keep your creativity afloat in this grey little world. Oh and did I mention? None of the women in the magazine are photoshopped.
Darling's purpose is best described in its mission statement:
"Darling is the art of being a woman. Darling magazine holds the modern mold of women up to the fire to evoke a discussion on femininity and re-shape an authentic design. Darling is a catalyst for positive change; leading women to discover beauty apart from vanity, influence apart from manipulation, style apart from materialism, sweetness apart from passivity, and womanhood without degradation. Darling leads women to practice the arts of virtue, wit, modesty, and wisdom -- all the while creating beauty and embodying love. Darling says women are not only interesting, but original, not only good enough, but exceptional -- not just here, but here for a purpose."
